Dad Gang, Designed by Dads

When we started Dad Gang is was just a simple idea that stemmed from a text thread. Three best friends sharing their days with each other and looking for support along their fatherhood journeys. The term "Dad Gang" kept popping up in these chats so we decided to make some hats. 

Not only did we set out to make hats, but we set out to change the way fatherhood was looked at. We got sick of the corny dad jokes, mowing the lawn, ugly sneakers, and everything else about fatherhood that you see on social media. Being a dad is so much more than the funny stuff. Being a dad requires strength, community, and support. We wanted to make great hats for dads, but we were also looking to build a massive community of dads looking out for each other.

THE HATS 

When making the first hats we wanted to make sure to keep quality in mind. So many times you get a 'dad' hat and it's flimsy, cheap, collects lint, and so many more things that make it feel 'cheap'. We said this hat has to be top notch and nothing else. The fit has to be perfect, it has to be durable, and easy to clean. 

Quality + Community + Comfort 

“It's easy to just think of a saying and slap it onto a hat. We went way beyond any of that. Testing fit samples, sweating through the hats, brim bending, snap enclosures, durability and so much more. “

Building Together 

There's something special about building with your best friends. We were all dads at different age levels when the brand started and had various experiences of what it means to be a dad. Being able to share those stories with each other gave strength to the brand along the way.

Our mission is simple. Bring dads together through community and amazing products. It's cool to make a great hat, but even better when a group of dads finds support through our products. We've heard the most impactful stories from our customers. Becoming a new dad, mental health struggles, loss of a child, infertility issues, the joy of becoming parents, and everything else inbetween. We want to emphasize not only the feel good stories, but the struggles that many go through when becoming parents. We're here to highlight every aspect of fatherhood, not just the funny stuff.
